thinking about the kamikou festival event again and how it conveys the tone and atmosphere of the school while showing the constant transmisogyny microaggressions mizuki lives with every day so well, and this phone call with an drives me insane bc even though an is genuinely well-meaning and is trying to ensure that mizuki knows that today is a safe day for her to come to school due to the circumstances of the festival, the way she words this is very discomforting bc she's basically saying "nobody is going to notice that you're dressed as a girl today bc everyone is wearing wacky outfits!" which carries the unfortunate implication that the way mizuki presents herself is equally wacky in a way that reinforces everything ppl say about her, but this isn't easy for her to push back against bc she doesn't have a good enough 'excuse' to do so when this is one of the few ppl who go out of their way to accommodate her even if they don't fully get it? it's thoughtful of an to want to reassure her but also it's another little thing that others fail to understand. she's trying to be kind but even then mizuki feels somewhat pushed into a corner. she's very bad at actively saying No. and an has removed her ability to misdirect here bc an is speaking with ambiguity.
mizuki also being too anxious about the idea of changing her clothes in school bc she's terrified of the possibility of being caught and thus having her body perceived by others... that's also another reason she'd hate being at school. gym and changing for it ā¦ i'd wager mizuki skips almost every gym class bc she can't stand the idea of being forced to change amidst boys, but she's also not allowed into the girls' locker roomā¦ literally only has the option to go to the roof if she wants to change. she's so hyper cognizant of her body and being seen ā¦ and the worst part is, she likes to be seen under her own circumstances and control (which is one of the many reasons she's very passionate abt fashion, and a lot of trans ppl in fiction tend to have an attachment to fashion and styling which makes a lot of sense bc of the element of control over one's appearance and making a self one can love). she really does. it just ā¦ happens that she knows she has so little control.
i've read the vbs main story (and a bit of their events but i need to continue whoops) and this makes me appreciate mizuki's brief interaction with kohane and an here more, bc it's obvious in this moment that kohane is just being her usual selfāanxious around other ppl she's not familiar with and this is something she wants to improve upon (which as far as i can tell is the conceit of her character arc as an underdog of sorts compared to the others in her group). but mizuki assumes that she has to be uncomfortable with her specifically (presumably due to her transness) bc of her experiences, so she immediately feels bad about 'taking up space' and decides to make up an excuse to get away from the situation to give kohane the chance to comfortably hang out with her friend. and the fact that mizuki goes out of her way to say that she's going to find a place to hide alone is interesting bc the way it's framed it doesn't sound like it means much, but it feels deliberate on her part, like she wants an to know... mizuki's internal world and where we see she has internal bias and how she blames herself or assumes she herself is the problem if she can't make others comfortable, and she takes so much upon herself all the time bc she's used to constant microaggressions and either can't say how she truly feels or has to divest what she feels from its context to make it palatable. but of course kohane is not transphobic, she is someone who has trouble socializing with strangers bc of her own anxiety that has nothing to do with mizuki herself, but mizuki doesn't have access to this perspective like the reader so it's easy for her to assume that she's the problem. it's paranoia but it's understandable considering how she's treated by almost everyone...

HELLOOOO, i was wondering:
A reader that likes watch anime, and some HSR characters gives them a try. But, what anime would you think they watch with the reader? Based on what they like or just something to start watching.
I LOVE YOUR WRITING STYLE, please don't overwork yourself a lot, have a nice day/night! <3
What Anime Would They Watch With You?
Tags: Aventurine x Reader, Ratio x Reader, Blade x Reader, Kafka x Reader, Silver Wolf x Reader, Anime Watching, Humor, Lighthearted moments, Comfort and Bonding, Can be read Platonically or Romantically.
Warnings: Mentions of psychological trauma, Light spoilers for anime, Philosophical and existential themes, Violence and combat (in anime contexts), Emotional conflict, Mild language (?), Possible mild angst(?).
A/N: I donāt watch much anime, but my sister does, so I based the anime choices on what sheās watched and told me about, as well as clips Iāve seen on yt shorts š«£š ALSO THANK YOU!! š¤š I'LL TRY MY BEST HEHE
Aventurine stands in front of the TV, his eyes glinting with curiosity. His usual confidence is slightly tempered by the unfamiliarity of the moment ā an evening of anime watching. Heās dressed in his usual stylish attire, the gold accents catching the light as he adjusts the remote with his gloved fingers. His gaze flickers to you, a mischievous smile playing at the corners of his lips.
"So," he begins, voice smooth like a well-played hand in poker, "what do we watch tonight? I suppose I should try something new. But, I must admit, I prefer shows with a bit of strategy ā something that makes you think, perhaps a game of intellect or manipulation."
You suggest Death Note, the classic tale of the battle between genius minds.
Aventurineās smile widens. āAh, an excellent choice. A battle of wits, a contest of who can outsmart whom. Much like life itself. I must say, the intrigue here appeals to me. The protagonist, Light Yagami, reminds me of someone who knows how to play the game... and win.ā
As the opening credits roll, Aventurine lounges back, his eyes gleaming with the same focus he applies to his work at IPC. The intricate web of psychological tension between Light and L unfolds in a way that mirrors his own thinking ā everything calculated, every move deliberate. The darker twists intrigue him, and he often leans over to comment on Lightās strategy, or offer his own hypothetical alternatives. Every so often, heāll pause to explain a parallel to a strategic investment move, his voice laced with a playfulness only you can appreciate.
The night is filled with insightful discussions, his enjoyment of the show evident not just in his words but in the way his eyes spark with intellectual thrill.
Ratio enters your living room, dressed in his usual academic attire, though he seems slightly more relaxed than usual. His hair is perfectly in place, and he adjusts his glasses, his piercing eyes scanning the shelves. Heās intrigued by the idea of anime, but like everything else, he believes it must meet the highest intellectual standards.
"I assume this will be a pursuit of knowledge, correct?" he asks, his tone indicating that he is less concerned with entertainment and more with what the anime can teach him.
You offer him Steins;Gate, a mind-bending tale of time travel and its implications. Ratio raises an eyebrow, his interest piqued.
"Time travel," he mutters. "The concept is fraught with paradoxes, theoretical inconsistencies... But let's see how this unfolds."
As the show progresses, you can tell Ratio is captivated. His usual dismissiveness towards āmediocreā content fades as he engages with the intricacies of the plot. He is particularly drawn to the scientific explanations of time travel, making insightful comments about the laws of causality. The intellectual depth of Steins;Gate resonates with him, and he begins to see the show as more than just entertainment but as an exploration of the human condition through the lens of scientific theory.
His stern exterior softens slightly as he leans forward, absorbed by the delicate unraveling of fate. At one point, he pauses the show to make an impassioned argument about the ethics of time travel, his eyes alight with the thrill of the debate.
Feixiao, in her usual battle-ready attire, steps into your space with her arms crossed, her eyes narrowing slightly in skepticism. Sheās not one for frivolous distractions, but sheās willing to give this anime thing a try ā provided itās something that involves action, strategy, and perhaps a little bit of inner conflict.
"Youād better not have picked something weak," she says with a smirk, her voice unwavering. "I don't have time for anything that isn't worthy of my attention."
You suggest Attack on Titan, with its intense battles and deep emotional conflicts. Feixiao grunts in approval.
"Alright, letās see if they can deliver on the carnage." she says, as the opening scene plays out.
Sheās immediately absorbed by the ferocity of the Titans and the desperation of humanityās fight for survival. The battles, filled with adrenaline and relentless pursuit, mirror the kinds of conflicts she knows too well. Sheās particularly drawn to Eren Yeagerās inner struggles ā the deep rage that simmers beneath his resolve.
"Thatās what I like to see," Feixiao mutters under her breath, her eyes flashing with approval as the protagonists fight with everything they have. "Thereās more to these battles than just the physical; thereās emotion, too. A warriorās mind is as sharp as their blade."
Throughout the night, she becomes invested in the character dynamics, especially Erenās moral dilemmas. The show's dark tone and brutal honesty about the human condition resonate with her, and she even offers some commentary on the combat strategies used by the soldiers.
By the end of the night, sheās hooked, her face flushed with the excitement of both the action and the emotional weight of the series.
Blade steps into the room, his eyes burning with a quiet intensity, his demeanor as cold as the blade he wields. His mind constantly in turmoil, heās not interested in frivolous entertainment. Everything he watches must speak to the darker aspects of his soul, and anything too light-hearted will not hold his attention.
You offer Neon Genesis Evangelion, a psychological and emotional rollercoaster that digs into the deep recesses of human existence. Bladeās expression is unreadable as he nods and sits, his eyes steely.
The first few episodes grip him, and soon he is fixated on Shinji Ikariās inner torment ā the crippling isolation, the struggle to find meaning in a world that seems bent on destruction. Blade sees pieces of himself in Shinji, his own existential struggle reflected on screen. He finds an unexpected resonance with the show's depiction of personal battles and the search for purpose in and the search for purpose in an uncaring world.
As the show delves into its more abstract and psychological themes, Bladeās face hardens in contemplation. He doesnāt speak much, but his occasional glances at you tell you everything you need to know ā Neon Genesis Evangelion is more than just an anime to him; itās a mirror to his own fractured soul.
By the end of the night, Blade is silent, lost in thought, the weight of the show's philosophical questions lingering in his mind.
Kafka strolls into the room with her usual cool confidence, adjusting her black jacket over her shoulders. Her hair sways slightly as she surveys the situation. While she doesnāt often indulge in entertainment, sheās intrigued by your suggestion to watch anime together. After all, thereās something elegant about the concept of using subtlety and manipulation to achieve one's ends, and Kafka is drawn to that kind of intrigue.
You offer Code Geass, a series filled with strategic battles, hidden motives, and complex characters. Kafka smirks, her interest piqued.
"This might be interesting. Letās see if it lives up to the hype." she says, her voice smooth and measured.
As the episodes unfold, Kafka finds herself charmed by Lelouch vi Britanniaās calculating nature and his ability to manipulate others for his own purposes. Sheās drawn to the layers of deception, the way Lelouch maneuvers through the world with his intelligence and charisma, much like herself.
"Ah, this is the kind of show I can appreciate," Kafka remarks, glancing at you with a knowing smile. "Power lies not in brute strength, but in the subtleties of the mind. Lelouch truly knows how to play the game."
By the end of the night, Kafka is hooked, her mind racing with the complex political strategies and moral questions the show raises. Her admiration for Lelouchās ability to control events through sheer willpower is clear.
Silver Wolf lounges in her seat, her purple glasses perched on the bridge of her nose. Sheās always up for a challenge, and if anime is as much of a game as you say, then sheās ready to dive in. Sheās looking for something thatās both fast-paced and unpredictable, a true test of her adaptability.
You suggest Psycho-Pass, a futuristic series that blends action with deep psychological exploration and questions about the nature of justice. Silver Wolfās eyes light up as the opening credits roll.
"Alright, this looks fun," she remarks, her fingers tapping on her leg like sheās already hacking her way through the plot. "A system that reads people's intentions? Sounds like a game I could win."
As the series progresses, Silver Wolf becomes engrossed in the moral and psychological dilemmas the characters face. Sheās particularly drawn to the futuristic technology, intrigued by the interplay between the systems that control society and the human minds that try to outwit them.
"I could hack my way through this world in no time." she chuckles to herself, but sheās also genuinely captivated by the philosophical questions raised. What is justice? Who decides what is right or wrong?
By the end of the night, Silver Wolf is already planning her next anime binge, eager to see what other āgamesā the world of anime has to offer.

What if a Greek Chorus acted like Captain Marvel was the lead of their play?
What if a Greek Chorus chose Captain Marvel as the focus of their narration? This could be due to a magic mess up and now theyāre stuck talking about The Champion for a while, but Iād like to think that theyāre just extremely bored ghosts of prestigious Chorus members who have nothing better to do. Like all of a sudden theyāre just haunting Billy and narrating whatever heāe doing in such a dramatized way.
Context for the post/Brief history lesson:
(Shortened version: A Greek Chorus is a group of people who act almost like narrators, speaking about the main elements or the takeaways throughout a play. They spoke in unison to carry their voices better. They had multiple ways to communicate the takeaways, this post focuses on speech and body movement.)
(Example)
*A media example are the muses from Disneyās Hercules. (Except the members of the Greek Choir donāt sing.)
ā-
History lesson, done! Now onto the post.
ā
Billy: sits down on his old mattress
Chorus: The young boy strew himself along as he perched upon his withered bed. The pesky jabs of fatigue and exhaustionās claws bore at the young one as his body ceased to relent its constant shivers. š
(A few of the ghosts have their hands on their foreheads like theyāre about to faint, the rest are shivering like theyāre a moment away from hypothermia.) Billy: Iām not even that tired, and my bed is fine???
Chorus (puts hands on their unbeating hearts): To appreciate sanity at mind, the poor youngling deluded himself. Choosing to experience the world in a more gentle perception than what has been given to him. Billy: Oh knock it off!
ā
(Captain Marvel/Billy saves a cat out of a tree.)
Billy: ā¦Did I lose them?
(The Chorus pokes theirs heads out from behind the tree)
Billy (clutching his pearls): Gah!
Chorus: In a swift moment of honorable heart, The Champion draws the feeble cat, and all of its quivering self, out of the tall and winding Maple. The daint kittenās form consumed by the engulfing man, forgoes its fear as it slows stills in warmth.
Billy: That was so NOT cool!
(Random citizens watching Captain Marvel get spooked at absolutely nothing and hearing the echo of a group of ominous voices): Hm. Seems like the Captainās schizophrenia has gotten worse. Itās materializing now.
ā
Imagine during this catastrophe thereās a meeting at the Watchtower. Billy begging his pantheon to do something and their just likeā¦
Atlas: Sorry Billy, thereās nothing more we can do.
Zeus: Shut up Atlas, you know no more than a grapefruit. But also thereās nothing more we can do, Billy.
Heracles: Do not fret however, this is very typical for beloved heroes!
Achilles: Yes, besides the ghost ordeal and the obvious-continuous stalking, this is very common.
Billy (growing more distressed): Not very comfortingā¦
#Captain (to the league): So about the ominous voices...#Batman (adding to his file): Go onā¦#dc#billy batson#dcu#captain marvel#shazam#captain marvel dc#dc captain marvel#hc#hcs#rambles#divine twitch chat au#au#my au

Hello! I don't know if it's ok to ask (but if it's not ,you can forget it) but i really want write about a oc who is actor/singer and i really want to know some vocabulary to use the music/voice/rythm field ,please.
Hi, this is perfectly fine! Learned a lot from these notes as well :)
Writing Notes: Key Musical Terms
Understanding key musical terms is essential for anyone interested in music. Knowing these terms may enhance appreciation and comprehension of the art form.
3 Fundamental Musical Terms
Pitch and Melody:Ā Pitch refers to the highness or lowness of a musical sound. Melody, on the other hand, is a sequence of pitches arranged in a meaningful and cohesive manner. Melodies are the catchy tunes that we hum along to and are often the main focus of a piece of music.
Rhythm and Tempo: Rhythm refers to the pattern of durations and accents in music. It is the element that gives music its groove and pulse. Tempo, on the other hand, refers to the speed at which a piece of music is played. It affects the mood and energy of the music, whether it's fast and lively like allegro music tempo or slow and soothing.
Harmony and Chords:Ā Harmony is the combination of different pitches played simultaneously, creating a rich and full sound. Chords, which are formed by harmonizing notes together, are the building blocks of harmony. They provide the harmonic support and often accompany the melody, adding depth and texture to the music.
By familiarizing yourself with these key musical terms, you will gain a deeper understanding of music and be able to communicate and discuss it more effectively.
TYPES OF MUSICAL TERMS. These terms provide a shared language for musicians and enable them to communicate effectively.
3 Key Categories of Musical Terms
Dynamics and Expression: Dynamics refers to the volume and intensity of a musical piece. Terms such as pianissimo (very soft), mezzo piano (moderately soft), mezzo forte (moderately loud), and fortissimo (very loud) describe the desired dynamics. Expression, on the other hand, focuses on the interpretation and emotional delivery of the music, encompassing terms like legato (smooth and connected) and staccato (short and detached).
Musical Forms and Structures:Ā Musical forms and structures define the organization and arrangement of a composition. Common forms include sonata, symphony, concerto, and fugue. Each form possesses distinct characteristics, allowing composers to create cohesive and engaging musical works.
Instrumentation and Orchestration:Ā Instrumentation refers to the selection and arrangement of instruments in a musical composition. Understanding the unique qualities of each instrument helps composers and performers achieve the desired sound and texture. Orchestration, on the other hand, involves assigning specific musical parts to different instruments within an orchestra.
Musical Terms in Practice
When reading sheet music, understanding musical terms is crucial for accurately interpreting the piece. Musical terms provide instructions on how to play the music, indicating dynamics, tempo, articulation, and more.
To interpret musical terms in sheet music, start by familiarizing yourself with the most common terms. For example:
'Piano' indicates soft playing, while
'Forte' means loud.
'Allegro' signifies a fast tempo, while
'Adagio' represents a slow tempo.
By recognizing these terms, you can bring the intended expression and emotion to your writing.
Using musical terms in performance enhances the overall musical experience. It allows musicians to communicate and synchronize their playing, creating a cohesive and expressive performance.
When musicians follow the indicated musical terms, the piece comes alive, capturing the composer's vision.
Furthermore, exploring the cultural significance of musical terms adds depth and context to the music. Musical terms often have historical and cultural origins, reflecting the traditions and practices of different periods and regions.
Understanding the cultural background of musical terms can provide insights into the composer's intentions and the historical context in which the piece was created.
VOICE. May be arranged in 6 orders or classes, according to gravity or acuteness.
Bass
Baritone
Tenor
Alto (or Contralto)
Mezzo-soprano
Soprano
The first 3 are the natural voices of men and the second 3 those of women.
The compass or range of notes is different in each voice, but it is not compass alone which determines the class to which any voice may belong, as very frequently a baritone quality of voice is limited to the range of a bass, and a tenor quality to the compass of a baritone.
It is almost impossible to describe in words the general character of the several voices, it must be sufficient to give the number of notes they are capable of using.
Sources: 1 2 ā More: Describe Sounds ā References ā 100 Sensory Words
Hope this helps with your writing!

CARLOS DATING AN INDIAN GIRL | CS55
Warnings:Ā mentions of food; tooth-rotting fluff; mentions of family members; not proofread.
A/n:Ā Just a quick reminder that there are many shades, experiences, and backgrounds when it comes to Indians and their culture, what I am writing does not resume everything, but rather brings a piece of it to the table. <3
āøĀ myĀ masterlistĀ |Ā my taglistĀ |Ā patreon guide āø support my writing byĀ reblogging,Ā leaving a commentĀ (donāt forget to follow me if you like the piece), orĀ buying me a coffee)
This man will start to tell India's story, location, and importance in the political context to everyone who dares to act uneducated around him!!! Most of what he knew he got from you, but the other half he got curious and just went on his own treasure hunt on the internet and, yes, shockingly, bookstores - he ordered online, but it still counts (those were his words);
Let's say he has never been to India outside the context of racing, so going with you for the first time makes it even more special (he will spend a few hours of the vacation telling you about the old Indian GP);
Carlos loved eating a traditional meal with your family, and he loved it even more because your grandpa taught him about the history behind eating with your hands and suggested he tried it if he wanted to (he had never felt the texture of food or appreciated its flavor quite like the way he did when he gave the tradition a chance);
You told him the story of the Taj Mahal while you walked there, and, of course, he got into a rabbit hole of questions and Google searches and even a book recommendation from a family member of yours (he told them about the experience, just like he told in the group chat of drivers he was part of);
The man bought just about everything in Chandni Chowk! You touched it, he bought it, and even when you didn't, he would point at a colorful fabric and say that the color suited you - but then again, in Carlos' eyes everything suited you, and you looked even more stunning when proudly displaying your heritage;
Pakora's probably his favorite snack, and, for now, his favorite dish is Dal Makhani (you still introducing him to the cuisine);
He'll love your family, and probably be added to the family group chat where he'll dutifully answer every message your parents, cousins, and so on send;
Carlos will casually ask if you would want two weddings or just one in India (yeah, his research took him to the wedding traditions, and he saw a few TikTok videos - he loved the energy and the colors, and of course, the story behind everything);
Looks even more handsome wearing a bandhgala!!!!

Uncanny X-Men #6 From The Ashes
We're starting to see Raid on Graymalkin come together with each team having a member in custody, but first we get to know these kids a little better. Spoilers, naturally.
Yeah they're a mystery to us too.
Calico/Becca has been in pretty serious denial about being a mutant and is easily the least worldly of the four. Context clues told us she grew up wealthy, sheltered, and that her mother did a number on her. It's good to make that explicit but I think something is lost by doing it in third person flashback. This is information she doesn't know and considering what happens next it'd be more effective to have her tell her own story. The flashbacks feel jarring to me too, knocking me out of the present. Her having Ember kick Logan was pretty funny though.
And she's cured! š
Calico has a breakthrough after a minute talking to Gambit, completely accepting her mutanthood. I think this would be the place to hear her speak - just a little back and forth instead of Gambit getting through instantly. She basically drops out of the story at this point, repeating that she's a mutant to anyone who'll listen. Yeah, she's been going on about goblins and her mother the entire time, and she was clearly in denial, but the sudden acceptance feels unearned.
We're not done with Harvey X, it seems. He's died at least once on page and said his powers would move on when he did. Does that mean he's not dead or was he just wrong? The thing with fakeouts is that the more you do it the less readers trust what you tell them. Logan brings up the old guy whose death bed he visited in issue #1 and shares the story behind the Tequila. He asks them to drink it with him and Rogue realises he's heartbroken. This feels unearned too, frankly. We'd never seen this army buddy before and while it's sad, there's so much trauma in all these people's very recent history. Krakoa, The School, Chuck, a genocidal war, Beast, hundreds of thousands of slaughtered mutants. The narrative doesn't really need new trauma when so much is already set up.
It sucks to lose an old friend, but the reader doesn't know the guy at all so it comes out of nowhere. A lot of page space was dedicated to the Sarah Gaunt/Chuck relationship and both aren't present in the story right now. Imagine if that space was spent on, say, Sarah/Logan instead. Very little needs to be changed and being blinded/nearly killed by his now monstrous ex would be a payoff that was setup.
I have complex PTSD myself and I would love to see it handled well in this book, but it's off to a weird start that centres Rogue more than Logan. He's in the middle of sharing his trauma and reaching out when she does this. It's really fucking odd, and I have an uncomfortable feeling it's not meant to be. I'll reserve judgement and see how this plays out.
Is the spit take because of what she said or because she's acting strange? You all have PTSD
Uhhm, what? Is this meant to be Harvey X's influence on Rogue? Her narration seems to suggest that, though she's still using her accent. I don't know, but it feels off. It's great to see the letters PTSD in an X-Men comic, because no shit Logan has PTSD. However, once you pathologise it instead of just referring to trauma, you need to pay that off. I'll believe that when I see it. Also, she just cut him off and told him. Logan says she's not qualified to diagnose that and he's right.
The kids are off to school! I think this is an interesting way to keep the education element of X-Men books separate from the mutant part, and naturally the kids run into bullies straight away. We're shown the other kids listening to Jitter though her confidence is attacked by jerks making fun of her stutter. Ransom has her back but Deathdream is really committed to the bit. This scene shows us what class dynamics are at play too. Showing and not telling might seem like faint praise, but I appreciate it when it's done elegantly. It's something this title has struggled with and I'm happy to see Simone lifting her game with the kids. That said, the bullies are extremely generic. Total cutouts that could be from 1950 or 2024. That's probably intentional but high school drama is a trope that's been beaten to death. If you're going to do it you want to do it well.
More bullying happens and Deathdream seems to take Ransom's words to heart, scaring the bullies with Eldritch horrors. Deathdream really doesn't seem bothered he's about to catch hands, but Ransom rolls his sleeves up and lays them out. I think the Olympics business was overegging the pudding, we can tell from his stance and form that he's trained in boxing. Or maybe this could have come up when they fought the X-Men. Everyone would notice an Olympics hopeful boxer. It could have been in Rogue's narration and wouldn't need to be vocalised as the skill is being used. Chekhov's Skill - it's narratively satisfying.
Unfortunately, while this is going down five heavily armoured dudes corner Calico and tase TF out of her. They call it in to Graymalkin and the Raid is set up. I wonder how they got into the school or knew they were here at all. Cerebro explains the latter. Why are they so obsessed with these kids anyway? Dr Ellis was concerned for their lives 2 issues ago and now she's encouraging brutality. Whatever, big ding for the Uncanny team's record of caring for children.
Kurt and Jubilee head to the store to do shopping and Kurt BAMFs away to save a little girl from being hit by a bus. For once he gets some gratitude, though while he's doing this Jubes is being cornered by Siryn, Blob and maybe Wild Child in full Hound mode. She gets snatched up too and Kurt returns to blood and mess everywhere. He calls Rogue and she tells him to get back quickly. The ending leads straight into 2 issues of Raid on Graymalkin (with 2 over in X-Men) and both teams have their motivation. I'm not looking forward to the contrived conflict but maybe we'll get some answers. We saw Siryn and Blob being tortured in earlier issues, but I'm surprised they're here unsupervised. Perhaps those collars are responsible.
Pound for pound I'd say this is the best issue of Uncanny yet. It had some super odd moments but most of them were relics of the first arc. I do wish we got more time to know all the characters, especially the Outliers, before moving into a mini crossover but this is what we have. Still skippable but seems to be getting better. I'm interested to see how the PTSD thing plays out though my expectations are low. I know that sounds quite negative for what was an improvement, but the first arc left a bad taste in my mouth and trust is earned. Also there's NINE main characters which is really not especially sustainable in a book like this. There's just not enough space, and you end up in situations like heading into an event without a solid grasp of where most of the cast is at.
Don't stand behind a horse, Logan. Lucky you have a healing factor.

idk if this is unpopular, but iād really love a scene where edwin comes out to crystal. like, she obviously *knows* because sheās perceptive and clocked him being jealous of her and charles pretty quick, and found it to be a total non-issue, but i think from edwinās perspective it is something he would not assume sheād guess and would be a really nice way to express his growing trust in her, since he had scenes of that nature with both charles and niko. also a good moment to showcase her growth when she realizes that this is sensitive information to edwin and despite the fact that sheās already filed it away (edwin is gay and annoying and these facts have nothing to do with each other lol), she can appreciate him being vulnerable with her and empathize. like i think a lot of the time traditional ācoming outā storylines get tired, especially when theyāre the only kinds of stories queer characters get, but edwinās arc is clearly so much more than that and i think itād be meaningful in the context of their particular relationship.

Buck and Eddie roadtrip in Texas š
Ok so I actually started writing this one MONTHS ago and then abandoned it, but now (after 8x08) I feel like I could pick it back up again with better added context.
Basically they go on a road trip (like maybe they fly to Austin for an event or something and decide to hire a car and drive back through El Paso to get Chris or something). Buck isn't sleeping bc insomnia is a bitch and Eddie researches the shit out of different techniques he can use to help Buck.
Here's a snippet:
--
āHave you tried jacking off right before you go to sleep?ā Eddie asks as Buck leaves the bathroom and Buck walks right into the arm chair.Ā
āThe fuck, Eddie,ā he groans, bending over to rub his poor dead pinky toe.Ā
āSorry, just checking. Itās an obvious one though, so...ā Eddie trails off and looks at Buck pointedly. Buck wants to die.Ā
āYes, Eddie, Iāve tried that. Didnāt help. Next tip, please.āĀ
āCounting sheep,ā Eddie suggests. Heās sitting cross-legged on the bed in just sweatpants and Buck still wants to die.Ā
āOh yeah thatās super fun until my brain canāt stop counting and suddenly itās 4am and Iāve visualised seven fucking thousand sheep jump over a rickety wooden fence,ā Buck snorts. He slumps into the armchair and rubs his eyes aggressively, listening to Eddieās breathing. The room is (creepily) silent and Buckās skin is prickling.Ā
āVisualise moving all the furniture in your room,ā Eddie reads off his phone.Ā
āGreat until hyper-fixation kicks in and I get up and actually start moving furniture. Remember three weeks ago when you came over for breakfast and I was passed out on my bed against the opposite wall?ā Buck reminds Eddie pointedly. āI need new mental games.āĀ
āHmm. Well according to this person on Reddit you shouldnāt think of them as mental games because itās not meant to be fun,ā Eddie snorts.Ā
āYeah fuck that person. Going to sleep should be fun and if it helps me to think of mental exercises as games then thatās what Iāll do, random Reddit asshole,ā Buck huffs. Heās way more annoyed than he should be about this but Eddie doesnāt say anything, just hums in agreement. Buck appreciates Eddie rolling with his spiralling and not telling him to ājust sit the fuck down and relaxā like Tommy used to. Buck wants to die a little less now, but not by much.Ā
āHave you tried counting backwards?ā Eddie asks, tilting his head to the left a little. The gel heād put in his hair in the morning has lost its hold and his hair flops to the side, falling over his forehead.Ā
āAh see that one Iāve actually had a little success with.ā Buck stands up from the armchair ā his pinky toe has miraculously not fallen off and he can, in fact, walk. He sits down opposite Eddie, close enough that their knees are almost touching (because itās only a double bed, not because Buck just wants an excuse to be close to Eddie, nope).Ā
āBut not so much recently?āĀ
āI count backwards by threes starting at nine hundred and ninety-nine,ā Buck starts, and absolutely does not shift slightly so that his and Eddieās knees are actually touching.Ā
āOddly specific, do explain,ā Eddie muses. He still looks sleepy, despite his four-hour nap in the car. Buck wants to hold his stupid hand.Ā
āDoing it that way hits every triple digit ā eight eighty-eight, seven seventy-seven, blah blah blah,ā Buck trails off, waving his hand dismissively. āWhich is satisfying but is also a pattern that my brain latches on to and after a few nights itās not engaging enough to keep my attention and I start tuning out the counting and get distracted by other things.āĀ
āThat - I mean I canāt relate, I donāt know what thatās like but it sounds really fucking frustrating. Iām sorry,ā Eddie murmurs warmly, placing a calloused hand on Buckās knee and yep, Buck is going to die tonight.Ā

I've written 5.3k words of this one lol. I've just got so many WIPs/fics I want to start!

I think we should start a positive trend in the fandom
SPRED THE HASTAGE I LOVE TSBS WRITING
because (Iām guilty of this two) the positive side is quite compared to the bad side. I know moving forward Iām going to put disclaimers on all character rants or theoryās or ep reviews talking about how I love the writing Iām just taking about the characters and my opinions. I noticed that in my posts unless give consistently read my previous posts I come off a dick and I sound like Iām insulting the writing even if Iām not meaning two and thatās on me.
Letās take my opinion on Earthās character
I think Earth used to put her own need to feel like sheās helpful so she can be a good person onto other to the point where it was manipulative. I donāt know she did it on purpose but I do think she didnāt do enough to change.
But this is where Iām in the wrong. Because Earth changed and I saw and appreciated that but in my posts there are FAR more that express my negative views on Earth compared to the positive ones.
And thatās because I didnāt think I had much to say about it when I know I could have. Itās because wording positive things is harder then negative for me so when I would try I would get bored and give up mid way never posting my thoughts on them.
(For the people who will take this out of context:
No Iām not judging Earth because sheās a woman Iām critiquing my old opinion of Earth that was made based on her ļæ¼actions towards others.)
Iām aware that the main problem that is effecting the shows is not people like me however we donāt do enough to help.
So why am I making this post? Well self-reflection mainly but also-
Kat and Davis I know you leark (idk if thatās how u spell it) on tumbler so if any of my posts made you feel like this Iām so sorry I contributed to this negativity. I ļæ¼ļæ¼should have tagged and disclaimed my posts and made it clear to an unfamiliar person that Iām not just shitting on a character but I failed to do so. ļæ¼I love you and your writing Iāve been learking and watching you both since FTO S4 and TFF Security breach and your SCP series. I really love your stuff and Iāve always love your writing. I donāt think Iāve expressed that enough.

Iāve been busy.. but that doesnt stop me from daydreaming!
Can i request platonic Vi with a best friend that is like Wriothesley? I didnt realized how similar those two are until i saw Wriothesleyās birthday art. Itās just.. mind blowing. ALSO WRIOTHESLEY AND CLORINDE, VI AND CAITLYN. DO YOU SEE IT?! Personally, i dont ship Wrio and Clorinde but i can see why people even ship them in the first place. I see them as platonic besties who support their endeavor with their respective lover (Neuvilette and Navia respectively)
Context:
Reader and Vi met in prison and just clicked bc they just understood each other. When Caitlyn came to ask Vi for help, Vi also made Caitlyn to allow reader out with her as well. Whatever happens next is your choice to make but please also note how reader is from Piltover.
Thatās all and have a good day/night!
(School is just.. really busy rn and i have my final exams next week. Im honestly scared, so i might not be active for a while here. But know that i do read your stuff to time to time to destress. Also i really like the post with my navia request, tysm ^_^)
- Flower Anon šø
Vi with a best friend Wriothesley-like!Gn!Reader.
Your words about the Wriothesley and Clorinde comparison have enlightened something in my mind lmao. Also, good luck with your exams, Flower Anon! I really, really hope that they go well and dw about not being active much! I appreciate your support either way and hope you'll enjoy this!<3
Content: Reader is from Piltover, past murders, crimes, platonic relationships, Vi and Reader being a menace duo, sfw
Reader has no mentioned pronouns.
((Not proofread))
You and Vi had your backs from day one after meeting in Stillwater. You were both teens then, having been imprisoned under terrible circumstances, and that made you stick together as a team. There was no one else to look out for you in that hell after all.
During your long, seemingly endless time in jail, you both got to know each other perfectly, with no details about your pasts spared. She came to know about your dark past and the murder of your abusive parents rather early on, yet never judged you for it. If anything, she may have been the only one to understand you.
This was surprising, considering your vastly different upbringings. Vi came from poverty down in the slums of Zaun, whilst you once tasted silver spoons and golden dishes on the daily. But it all faded in this hellscape of a prison, where you both endured torture and pain as equals.
You became an unlikely duo out of that, one that upheld a scary and menacing reputation amongst prisoners and wards alike. She was the more angry, violent one, whilst you were a bit of a joker, your words alone enough to send shivers down anyone's spines. It made you both feel more confident and hopeful, even if a way out was unlikely after many years spent in the prison.
Now, far into your adulthood, you decided to give up on that childish dream of freedom, accepting that your life in Stillwater is all you'll ever know. You were used to it by now and built a routine to follow and survive with. But things changed when that Enforcer girl showed up.
You didn't trust her at all, despite roughly remembering who she was. And unfortunately, she remembered you two, although for all the wrong reasons she would simply scoff at. However, since Vi decided to make a deal with Caitlyn, you decided to leave the past behind and simply accept this opportunity to finally escape this place.
And so, after what felt like endless years of fighting for your survival together, you were finally permitted to breathe, mostly, fresh air and live freely again... even with the grim mission at hand that often left you having to comfort Vi whenever things got too out of hand with her emotions. Hunting down Jinx was more traumatic than she'd let on anyways.
But alas, you eventually began enjoying your time out by trying new tea and pastries, running around your okd neighborhoods, and beating up people with Vi that wronged her in the past. It was all in good fun, even if Caitlyn had to hunt you both down every time.
You were the more calmer and gentler out of the three of you, however, as your rationality and ability to lead effortlessly often came in handy. You were somewhat of a balance between the two when things got really bad, despite your own reservations, and eventually ended up being an accidental wingman with how well you spoke of Vi to Cait. You knew firsthand how bad the prejudice against Zaunites could be and would be damned if she ever mistreated Vi because of it.
Ultimately, life turned out a lot more chaotic outside than it was outside of the prison... but with your best friend at your side, you suppose things would only get more interesting from here.

thank you. (again) i appreciate the advice very much so, and this is probably a lot to unpack amongst other things; so i have a fair amount of things that i should probably sit on for a while. not like i didnāt already but regardless
i think that a lot, if not all of what you said are valid observations and/or true. so let me elaborate
āI guess the core question, if you want to finally hash out your feelings on this one way or another, is: why are you so afraid of calling yourself a fox? Or at least, why are you so determined that that can't be the case?ā
i actually spent a while calling myself a fox not long ago. i ENJOYED it, it feels good to say, sure, but it just felt like too much of an empty statement when my own actions (or anything really) donāt back up that statement. itās like i donāt have āproofā. i can technically call myself anything; but the affirmation carries dubious meaning when thatās all there is to it. āi am (x)ā. itās there though, and i would know because the feeling is a lot more prominent when iāve been called it by others in the past
may i add that i donāt really live in a situation where i can openly express something like that in real life. i still get occasionally taunted from the time i was openly a furry (4/6 years ago) and i donāt think itās something people around me would ever take well.
but to answer your question. i suffer from holding the āit isnāt something that would happen to meā mentality (if that makes sense). i seem to hold that idea a lot, even outside of this context. there is a very real and recognisable mental wall that i have constructed that separates me from the concept of ābeing something elseā. iām not sure why or how that became a thing at all, other than the way i try to perceive these concepts (from an āoutside viewā) but itās just the way i end up thinking for some reason. it feels slightly irrational, especially considering everything else, but itās not something i actively mean to do
even when i do try to entertain it, i think i have a predetermined belief that my own ābeingā of these things is somehow inherently less than others. that in particular probably comes from a lack of emotional permanence. imposter syndrome? i donāt know
nevertheless i genuinely can not thank you enough for taking a moment to understand. the advice is useful, and i value it. and donāt worry about overstepping; i can assure that you didnāt. i hope (once again) that this was worded coherently enough to be understood
i donāt think my words hold much value to people like you, and i donāt think you would be willing to listen or take it to heart, but itās still worth trying. i would like you to realise that you are human in every way. you are not an animal, you are not a dragon. (you probably already know this. maybe youāre in denial. i donāt know) either way, none of you would actually be willing to give it even a second of thought because youāre insecure about yourself, and youāre insecure because you know youāre human. i assure you that you will not reach full personal contentment until you live out your life without pretending to be a mythical creature. wtv have a good day
Ooh, I havenāt gotten one of these asks in a few years.
So I ask this, and every other question I will follow up with, completely genuinely, and if youāre willing to really get into the weeds discussing it Iād love to do so (though Iāll probably reblog any follow-ups to my other blog): why do you think you know me and my experiences better than I do?
Why do you think you can armchair diagnose me with insecurity? What evidence do you actually have for that, besides the fact that Iām nonhuman? What evidence do you have that Iām not already content and fulfilled in my life?
Is it possible that identifying as nonhuman is unrelated to those things entirely, and youāre making a false assumption?
I get it. It looks crazy, when youāre completely new to the concept. Itās weird - it is! But pause and listen to us when we talk about our experiences for a moment.
For many of us, myself included, finding nonhumanity is a moment of suddenly understanding - of pieces falling into place, of my life experiences suddenly making sense. Awakening is something that made me more content and fulfilled, not less - thereās a sadness in it sometimes, yes, but so too is there the comfort of understanding yourself in a new way, of realizing, oh. Iām not just weird. Thereās not something wrong with me. There are other people like me.
(If this sounds a lot like the experience of figuring out youāre queer, thereās a reason for that.)
To use myself as an example of the flaws in your hypothesis: thereāsā¦ honestly not much dissatisfaction with my life right now. Iāve got a stable job with decent income. Iād like to be able to cut back my hours a bit, but that will come in time. Iāve got enough free time as it is to do my art and play my tabletop games with friends in my off time. Iāve got family and friends around me. Sure, I miss my wings, but Iām hoping to pick up powered paragliding in the near future and hoping thatāll scratch that itch at least somewhat. Iām doing pretty well, honestly. This isnāt the case for all otherkin, but itās not the case for all orthohumans (people who arenāt alterhuman in any way) either. What it does indicate, however, is that your hypothesis that being otherkin inherently means youāre insecure and unhappy with your life is false, or at minimum flawed - if it were true, I wouldnāt exist.
So, I ask again: why do you think you understand my own experiences better than I do? And moreover, why does it bother you so much that I am the way I am?
The name for the thing youāre doing here, intentionally or not, is concern trolling - trying to push me out of an identity by professing concern for problems that donāt exist. Why? Why are you going out of your way to tell other people theyāre wrong about their own identity? Why is your reaction, when you see an identity you donāt understand, to decide itās unhealthy, or just make-believe, or whatever, and then to make that the problem of the people who identify that way? What exactly makes you think this is inherently unhealthy?
Would it not be better to devote that energy to trying to understand us, instead of trying to change us?
You donāt have to answer these questions to me, obviously, but I do encourage you to answer them to yourself at least. Pick apart your worldview for a minute and see if it actually holds up under scrutiny - itās good for you, and mental enrichment to boot! If you are willing to really get into the weeds of this discussion with me, again, Iād love to do that - I love having discussions like this, and itās good for me to have my worldview challenged every so often too! Please, genuinely, pick at the flaws in my logic if you see them - if it can be pulled apart under scrutiny, it needs to be pulled apart and rebuilt. No one on the internet is obligated to let a stranger do that, obviously, but personally I enjoy it - itās a meat pumpkin for me - so letās talk, if youāre up for it. Itās been a hot minute since Iāve gotten a good interesting antikin to debate with.

This was going to reference a sibling dynamic meme, but I got too excited XD
Brief context: Height difference in a future where Ando becomes a wandering traveler and the lamb digivolves until it reaches its maximum potential.
Or something similar to that, hehe (ouo)
I hope you like it!
Extra: A little idea regarding my two sheep!

This is the moment where I comment that I like light angst, but it's rare that I prioritize it, so don't worry (?)

It makes me so sad when fanfiction writers come to me for writing advice, and they say something along the lines of "I write fanfic (and I'm trying to get into real writing too)", "I'm a fanfiction writer and I plan to write original fiction someday but now is just not the right time for me", or "I'm not a real writer but I write fanfic"
babes you don't have to justify writing fanfiction to me. you also don't need to tell me your plans to eventually write original fiction to be worthy of asking for writing advice.
Writing original fiction is not inherently better than writing fanfiction. Writing fanfiction is real writing. If you want to write original fiction too, great! If writing fanfiction is all you want to do, that is wonderful as well.
Do what makes you happy and be proud in the knowledge that writing isn't easy, and you're actually doing it!
#writing#writeblr#writers of tumblr#writers on tumblr#writers#undine speaks#fanfiction#of course if you are just putting that into the ask to give me more context#thank you i appreciate it#but i just get the vibe from so many of those asks that you don't think you're a real writer#or that you're embarrassed that you don't write ārealā fiction

Still weird seeing Twilight be so honest with Yor about struggling to turn his brain off and just *be*. A good kind of weird, of course. I could never imagine volume one Twilight being so open with her (or anyone, really). This chapter was so nice with its references to all the way back then and showing how far they've come since. Still some sneaky Project Apple seeds being laid, of course, but overall, this was a pleasant checkpoint. A little calm before the next storm, which was sorely needed after the last arc
#I did think he would backpedal more after mole hunt arc and tbh he likely still will but for now he's actually showing growth#Anya too in her adapting how best to manipulate him. Yor's chara development wasn't on full show this file#but that doesn't mean she hasn't grown too (her interactions with the work trio and Melinda especially show so).#Yor now drawing others out of their shells rather than staying quiet. appreciating what she has rather than letting it pass her by.#And seeing Martha again after last arc was just laced with irony. She and Becky acted the same as ever but now we have more context.#I'm glad this series is good about breathers in its pacing despite what elements of the fanbase may proclaim#spy x family#sxf manga spoilers
